Test Format:
The first portion of the test will consist of multiple choice, true/false, and matching. The second half will be a persuasive in-class essay. You may use your novel on the second portion only.
Content:
Who's who? Know your characters, their defining moments, and memorable quotes.
Plot. Review the plot; it is complex and has many elements, so review for clarity.
Symbols and motifs. Consider what the most significant symbols and motifs are, along with how they are used in the novel.
Theme. What is Dickens saying about resurrection? Sacrifice? Love vs. Hate? Imprisonment? Other prominent ideas? Consider how plot and character illustrate theme.
